Pepys connects to Zapier so transcription runs automatically inside your workflows. Send any media URL, podcast RSS, or YouTube/TikTok/Instagram link to the Transcribe action, and use the Transcription Ready trigger to fire a Zap the instant a transcript finishes – with the full text, AI summary, and speaker-labeled segments. Authenticate once with a Pepys API key. It is usage-priced (pay once, no subscription), so automated transcription bills per minute against your credits.

- New podcast episode in an RSS feed → Transcribe → post the AI summary to Slack.

- New Zoom, Fathom, or Grain recording → Transcribe → email the finished transcript to the team.
How to connect
Create a Pepys API key
In Pepys, open Settings → API keys and create a key (shown once, starts with pk_live_).
Add Pepys in Zapier
In a Zap, add a Pepys step and paste the key. Zapier confirms the connection and shows your remaining minutes.
Build your Zap
Pick the Transcribe action or the Transcription Ready trigger, map your source, and send the transcript wherever you need it.
Good to know
- Pay-once pricing. Automated transcription bills per minute against your credits – no monthly seat, no subscription.
- Any length, any source. Files, links, and full podcast feeds, with speaker labels and exports (TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, and more).
- Retries are safe. The Transcribe action is idempotent, so a Zap retry never double-bills.
