What you can send
Voice notes. Record in the chat and send it. Voice notes carry no filename to worry about – Pepys transcribes the audio and replies with the text.
Audio files. Memos, interview recordings, a meeting export. Attach the file to a message, or forward one somebody sent you.
Videos. Pepys takes the audio track off the video and replies with the spoken words as text. Round video notes are the one exception – send those as a regular video instead.
How to connect
1. Sign in to Pepys, open Settings → Integrations, and press Connect Telegram. Pepys issues a one-time link that expires after 15 minutes.
2. The link opens a chat with the Pepys bot. Press Start to finish linking – that chat is now connected to your account.
3. Send a voice note, audio file, or video. Pepys confirms it picked the recording up, then replies in the same chat when the transcript is ready, with a link to the full transcript page.
The connect button lives in Settings, so it needs a Pepys account. Linking is a one-time step – after that you only ever talk to the bot.
The 20 MB limit is Telegram's, not ours
Telegram's Bot API only lets a bot download files up to 20 MB, whichever app is asking. That is a hard ceiling on the Telegram side of the conversation: a longer recording cannot be handed to any bot, Pepys included.
Shorter clips are the sweet spot. For anything longer, upload the file on Pepys directly, where your account's own file limit applies instead – 1 GB on a free account, 5 GB once you have bought credits.
Good to know

The link is one-time and short-lived. It expires after 15 minutes and works once. If it lapses, press Connect Telegram again for a fresh one. Once a chat is linked it stays linked until you disconnect it.
Long transcripts still fit. A Telegram message tops out around 4,000 characters, so a very long transcript is clipped in the reply – the link to the full transcript page always carries the complete text.
