How do I transcribe a Turkish video?

Hand Pepys a Turkish video – upload the file or paste a link – and it pulls the audio, writes the speech out as a clean, timestamped transcript, and gives you SRT or VTT captions, all in minutes. It follows İstanbul Turkish and regional accents and auto-detects Turkish among 99+ languages. Your first 60 minutes are free, no card.

How transcribe turkish video works

01

Add your Turkish video

Upload the Türkçe video or paste a link – a lecture, a YouTube clip, a meeting recording. We strip the audio for you.

02

Get transcript & captions

Pepys writes the Turkish speech out as timestamped text and builds matching caption cues.

03

Export

Download the transcript (TXT, Markdown, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, or JSON) or an SRT/VTT caption file with timing aligned to the video.

Video is where Turkish gets messy, and that is exactly where Pepys earns its keep. A dizi clip, a university ders, a Teams kayıt, a fast-talking vlog – upload it or paste the link, and you get back an accurate, timestamped transcript plus an SRT or VTT file you load alongside the picture. The audio gets stripped automatically; you never touch a converter.

Two things make on-screen Turkish hard to write down. First, agglutination: one root sprouts a chain of suffixes (anlayamadıklarımız), so the model has to spell the full word rather than the bare stem. Second, the i that turns on a single dot – i versus ı, İ versus I – which a careless model collapses into nonsense. Add the near-silent soft ğ and the rapid overlap of a panel show, and ordinary captioners fall apart. Pepys is tuned for all of it. Turkish is auto-detected among 99+ languages, your first 60 minutes are free, credits never expire, and we never train on your video.

Clean paragraphs. No more um's and ah's.

The left is what Pepys hands back – logical paragraphs with the filler stripped out, punctuated and readable. The right is the raw, one-line-per-segment dump most transcribers leave you with.

um so yeah everyone keeps telling you to like lead with your best line right but uh honestly if you give away the whole answer in the first second you know there's basically no reason for anyone to keep watching so the hook isn't kind of the smartest thing you say it's like a loop you open that they need to close and um that's the part that actually keeps people around

Transcribe turkish video – questions, answered

How do I transcribe a Turkish video?

Upload the Türkçe video or paste a link – the first 60 minutes are free, no card. Pepys returns a timestamped Turkish transcript plus caption files in minutes.

Can I get Turkish captions as well?

Yes. Export Turkish captions as a downloadable SRT or VTT sidecar file with timing aligned to the video – Turkish characters (ç, ğ, ş, ı, İ) intact.

Which video formats work?

MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI and more, plus links. We extract the audio and transcribe the speech – you do not pre-convert anything.

Does it keep Turkish suffixes and special letters right?

Yes. Agglutinated words are spelled out in full and the dotted/dotless i pairs stay distinct, so görüşemeyeceğiz reads correctly – and you can fix any word inline.

Is my video private?

Yes. We never train on your video or transcripts, and you can auto-delete files after processing.
