Around 85 million people speak Turkish, and almost nobody speaks it the way a textbook does. The İstanbul standard sits next to broad Anatolian vowels, clipped Black Sea speech, and the Turkish of Cyprus and the German diaspora – and a recording rarely warns you which one is coming. Pepys takes whatever you upload (a ders, a röportaj, a sesli mesaj) and gives back an accurate, timestamped transcript you can search, quote, and translate.

The thing that breaks ordinary speech models on Turkish is the language itself. It is agglutinative, so a single root grows a tail of suffixes – evlerimizden, görüşemeyeceğiz – and the model has to spell the whole stack, not guess at the stem. Then there is the i that makes or breaks a word: dotted i and dotless ı, capital İ and capital I, all four distinct letters. Pepys is tuned for that, and for the soft ğ that all but disappears in speech. Turkish is auto-detected among 99+ languages, your first 60 minutes are free, credits never expire, and we never train on your audio.

Clean paragraphs. No more um's and ah's.

The left is what Pepys hands back – logical paragraphs with the filler stripped out, punctuated and readable. The right is the raw, one-line-per-segment dump most transcribers leave you with.

reel-voiceover.mp4

um so yeah everyone keeps telling you to like lead with your best line right but uh honestly if you give away the whole answer in the first second you know there's basically no reason for anyone to keep watching so the hook isn't kind of the smartest thing you say it's like a loop you open that they need to close and um that's the part that actually keeps people around

Turkish audio to text – questions, answered

How do I convert Turkish audio to text?

Upload your Türkçe audio or paste a link on this page – the first 60 minutes are free, no card. Pepys writes it out as clean, timestamped Turkish text in minutes, suffix stacks and all.

Does it cope with different Turkish accents?

Yes. İstanbul standard, broad Anatolian vowels, Black Sea speech, Cypriot and diaspora Turkish all come through – and you can correct any term inline before you export.

Why is Turkish tricky to transcribe?

Two reasons. Agglutination piles suffix on suffix, so the model has to render the whole word (evlerimizden), and the dotted/dotless i pairs – i / ı and İ / I – are four separate letters that flip meaning. Pepys is built for both, then lets you tidy anything inline.

What can I export?

TXT, Markdown, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, or JSON, with timestamps preserved and Turkish characters (ç, ğ, ş, ö, ü, ı, İ) kept intact.

Is my Turkish audio private?

Yes. We never train AI on your audio or transcripts, and you can auto-delete your files once processing is done.
